This week's episode of CCW Alive featured two title matches. The first ended with a new champion crowned in shocking fashion, while the other ended with a disqualification that seemed to be nothing more than simply survival for a championship reign.

Marina Tucker def. Kilynn King & Ashley D'Amboise - Triple Threat - CCW Women's Championship
KiLynn King won the CCW Women's Championship in January, defeating Marina Tucker. She went on to successfully defend it for most of the year, including a defeat of Tucker in a steel cage match that is one of the most legendary matches in the CCW Women's Division, if not all of Coastal Championship Wrestling.
That steel cage match was the last match Tucker had in CCW for nearly six months, until she returned in late September at Destiny Awaits in Port St. Lucie, Fla. As it turns out, it was Tucker's destiny to begin her third title run that night in Port St. Lucie, pinning D'Amboise in a Triple Threat match.
King blasted D'Amboise with a modified version of Kingdom Falls and looked as though she would retain. But the opportunistic Tucker saw an opening. As King was about to cover D'Amboise to retain, Tucker blasted the champion with a running knee to the face, then covered D'Amboise for the three-count to win the title.
The Marina Tucker-KiLynn King feud stole many of the headlines in CCW throughout the first half of 2022. As the calendar winds toward 2023, are we going to see these two battle it out over the top prize in the CCW women's division yet again? King has an argument for a rematch, as she was never pinned or submitted as champion.

The Qrown def. Elevated Status (DQ) - CCW Tag Team Championships
Leonis and Maximus Khan, brothers collectively known as The Qrown, have burst on to the tag team scene in Coastal Championship Wrestling and quickly rose up the ranks of contenders for the CCW Tag Team Championships, currently held by Elevated Status (ERA and Jonny Nova).
The Qrown earned a shot at Elevated Stats at Destiny Awaits. The duo's rise has been fuled by their strength, size and athleticism. All those traits were on full display in this matchup.
The Qrown were physically dominant in much of the match. In fact, it looked as though they might have Elevated Status' number on this night. ERA, it seems, may have felt the same way. With the Qrown brutalizing Nova with a double team in the ring, ERA slipped into the ring and blasted Leonis Khan with a blatant low blow, right in front of the official.
The referee had no choice but to disqualify Elevated Status, giving the victory to The Qrown. But, of course, the titles can't change hands on a disqualification. Is this the beginning of a rivalry between The Qrown and Elevated Status? It sure feels like it. Keep watching CCW Alive to see how this story plays out.
