Alive 82: Too Sweet! Good Brothers Visit Barely Legal; Santos Victorious in CCW Return

This week's episode of CCW Alive comes to you from Barely Legal, CCW's 18th-anniversary show, held just a few short weeks ago at the CCW Arena in Pompano Beach, Fla.

One of the many highlights of the evening was The Good Brothers -- Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson -- stopping by to take in the action (and maybe even get involved in just a little bit of it themselves). Our first match featured the return of "El Jefe" Santos to CCW, as he faced off with Taylor Wolf. Six-man tag team action wrapped up the show, including the aforementioned cameo from Gallows and Anderson.

"El Jefe" Santos def. Taylor Wolf

In his first Coastal Championship Wrestling action since losing the CCW Heavyweight Championship, "El Jefe" Santos got quite the challenge for a welcome back. Taylor Wolf was the opponent and gave Santos everything he wanted.

Wolf played mind games early in the match, constantly ducking out of the ring to frustrate the former champ, while the CCW faithful were squarely behind "El Jefe." When Wolf finally did enter the ring and lock up, it seemed as though the mind games worked, as Wolf gained the early edge.

Wolf looked to take advantage a bit later in the match, nailing Santos into the steel guardrails with a corkscrew tope suicida, driving his back into "El Jefe." But The Icon of CCW rallied.

Back inside the ring, Santos eventually recovered. A vicious knee strike dropped Wolf and Santos followed up with a pumphandle into a powerslam. Less than two minutes later, after a series of double clotheslines, Santos eventually got the better of the exchange. He turned Wolf inside out with one last massive clothesline. That allowed "El Jefe" to hoist Wolf into position for the Angel Dust pop-up gutbuster and a victory for the returning Santos.

T.C. Read, Vinicious & Ariel Levy def. Noah King, Reeves Portman & Francisco Ciatso

Following a commercial break, we joined a six-man tag team match already in progress. "The Florida Man" T.C. Read teamed up with the CCW Tag Team Champions Ariel Levy and Vinicious (aka The South American Alliance) to face off with Noah King, Reeves Portman and another returning CCW star in Francisco Ciatso.

As we pick up the action, Levy cleaned house sending all three of his opponents to the floor at ringside. Levy then delivered a tope suicida to all three men, but with King taking the brunt of it. King was eventually able to tag in Ciatso, who had a brief advantage.

Later in the match, King and Levy squared off, but "The Florida Man" was legal for his team. After absorbing one blow, Levy ducked a King clothesline and Thee Prolific one at a Levy codebreaker. A dazed and confused King walked right into a superkick from Read for the 1-2-3.

The Good Brothers Make Their Presence Known

Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson had been advertised as special guests of CCW for the anniversary show. Following the six-man tag match, after Ciatso, Portman and King had lost but re-entered the ring looking for more action, The Good Brothers had seen enough.

As Anderson and Gallows came to the ring, Portman and King noticed the duo and took a powder. That left Ciatso in the ring, completely unaware the Good Brothers were behind him. As the crowd chanted for him to turn around, Ciatso figured something was amiss. As he turned around to see Gallows and Anderson, he tried to get a "Too Sweet" and a handshake from Gallows.

Gallows took him up on the handshake, sort of. He grabbed Ciatso's hand long enough to deliver a nasty boot the midsection and lift him up. Anderson then slid in under Ciatso's legs as The Good Brothers delivered a Magic Killer. With the crowd chanting for one more, the visiting stars obliged and laid out Ciatso with a second Magic Killer.

"For years, all we've heard is the best pro wrestling in South Florida is right here at CCW," Gallows said, taking the mic. "The best wrestling school in Florida, the home of Gangrel. So from us to you guys, congratulations on 18 years. Let's get to 18 more years. Because, obviously, CCW is just too sweet!"
