Coastal Championship Wrestling delivered an unforgettable night this past Saturday at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center, as fans witnessed a career-defining moment for a true icon of the sport. In the main event of Summer Glory, “The Vampire Warrior” Gangrel shocked the wrestling world by overcoming impossible odds to become the new CCW World Heavyweight Champion.

With the deck stacked against him in a 3-on-1 Gauntlet Match against the King’s Court, Gangrel fought his way through the faction one by one. First, he took care of Marvin Cruz, then survived a grueling battle with Alex Chamberlain. Finally, he stood face-to-face with King Eddie Valentine, who had held the championship for 148 days. In an intense brawl, Gangrel was victorious, ending Valentine’s reign and finally cementing his own place at the top of CCW.
This victory marks Gangrel’s first major championship in Coastal Championship Wrestling, a milestone in a career that has spanned decades across the globe. Despite holding titles around the world, the achievement carried a special weight for the veteran. Speaking to Lissy Almeida in a post-match interview, the newly crowned champion reflected on the moment:
“In 39 years of wrestling, this one means more to me than any other title I’ve won around the world.” — Gangrel

The crowd in Port St. Lucie erupted as the referee raised Gangrel’s hand, a scene that captured not only a title change, but also the culmination of resilience, experience, and passion for the sport.
Summer Glory was already poised to be one of CCW’s most successful events of the year, but with this monumental championship win, it will be remembered as the night a legend rose once again.
